What is it?
This is a safe, effective and minimally invasive therapeutic approach for managing severe hip pain with a positive response to diagnostic articular branches of the Obturator and femoral nerves.
The procedure can provide hope for those who are not surgical candidate for hip replacement, who failed hip replacement and continue to have pain, who are not willing to proceed with hip replacement.
How Long does the Procedure Take?
The procedure usually takes 30 minutes. Patient may receive Oral or IV sedation for comfort. Pulse RFAis an office-based procedure that is very similar to the Diagnostic block. We treat the sensory fibers by either pulse waves (42 Degree C) office based or Cooled radiofrequency for prolonged pain relief- hospital based. Treatment can take 3 to 6 weeks to work.
